- Dr Suresh Advani has made a significant contribution in the field of developmental therapeutics as well as clinical research. His work allowed integration of projects including various branches of clinical oncology and basic research. Further, he aims for working on biological therapeutics to develop novel methods to combat cancer cells.
- After gaining experience in the field of bone marrow transplantation from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, Washington, Dr Suresh was the first oncologist in India to have successfully done a bone marrow transplant.
- Being a well-known and successful doctor, Dr Suresh Advani received prestigious awards such as Padmashri, Padmabhushan, and Dhanvantari for his valuable addition to medicine. Also, he is the winner of Rashtriya Krantiveer Award, Ujjain – 2014, Dr BC Roy National Award by Medical Council of India – 2005, Lifetime Achievement Award in Oncology by Harvard Medical International – 2005.
